Best Practices to Prevent Customs Rejection.
- Use a Parcel Forwarding Company - These companies make importing from the US to destinations worldwide more reliable. They will provide a free US address to which you can ship your order, and they take care of all the intricate details of importing your goods and ensure they reach your final destination hassle-free. A quick Google search will help you locate a parcel forwarding company that will fit your needs.
- Three month supply or less - Most countries require a broker or permit when purchasing more than a "typical" 3 month supply of supplements for personal use. Please see your government's regulatory requirements.
- Avoid large orders - Packages containing large quantities of supplements garner more scrutiny by customs agents.
- Be cautious when ordering hormones - Every country has different regulations regarding hormones and products related to hormones.
- All or nothing rule - Most countries reject an entire shipment rather than remove an offending item.
- Regulations and enforcement change - It's crucial to stay informed, as regulations and enforcement can change unexpectedly. What was acceptable last month may not be the case next time.
- Customs Forms - We will not mislabel a customs form, with no exceptions.
The list below itemizes known customs problems; order at your own risk.
What this means for you.
1) If you order products with known restrictions published here or on the product page, our Guaranteed Delivery Policy will be void and replaced by these terms.
- Shipping is non-refundable.
- Items not returned to us or returned damaged are not refundable.
2) Multiple Failed Attempts
- If you make additional attempts to order products previously rejected by customs, we will deduct a restocking fee.
- Original Shipment: 0% restocking fee.
- Second return: 20% restocking fee.
- Third return: 40% restocking fee.
- Fourth return: No refund.
3) Unlisted Destinations
- Initial shipments to destinations not on this list are covered by our Guaranteed Delivery Policy. If tracking stopped in the US or at customs, please avoid ordering those products in the future.
- If you place another order containing products we've previously refunded under our Guaranteed Delivery Policy, all of the terms in sections one (1) and two (2) above will apply.
Countries with Known Problems
Canada
Recommendation: Use a Parcel Forwarding Company. Our customers report liking Shippsy and CrossBorderPickups the most.
Canada enforces its import ruels on our products spradically. As of May 2024, all of the below are being rejected. Inclusion of these items will cause the entire order to be rejected.
- Hormones, precursors, and any supplements that are used for, or labeled with refference to, hormonal balance. Anything regarding hormones.
- Simply Progesterone.
- Pregnenolone.
- Supplements over 3 months supply.
Unlike many bigbox vitamin brands, we do not have a distribution hub in Canada.
Germany
The successfull import of our products to Germany is inconsistent. Germany considers most of our products to be regulated substances. Below are the products most commonly rejected. Germany frequently damages or disposes of our products.
